The Gnoll Champion was the leader of the gnoll pack inhabiting the Towers of Silence. His weapon of choice was a halberd of great quality, and he appeared to have the skills of a paladin.
Charged with his defeat by the nymph of a nearby lake, Sir Roswell managed to best the gnoll in single-handed combat. His fall led to the release of the halfling Paddledown, and Sir Roswell gaining the favour of the mysterious nymph.
